Privacy Policy
The short version: your files never leave your device, and I collect as little as possible.
Last updated:
This policy explains what information ToolJutsu collects when you use tooljutsu.com — and, just as importantly, what is deliberately not collected. It is written in plain language because a privacy policy is only useful if you can actually understand it.
Core promise
ToolJutsu's tools run entirely inside your web browser. When you compress an image, merge a PDF, format JSON or use any other tool, the processing happens on your own device using built-in browser features. Your files and the data you type into tools are never uploaded to, transmitted to, stored on, or logged by any ToolJutsu server. There is no ToolJutsu server that receives them. You can confirm this by opening your browser's developer tools and watching the network activity while you use a tool.
What is not collected
- The contents of your files — images, PDFs, audio, video or documents
- The text or data you enter into any tool
- The results a tool produces
- Your name, email address or any account details — there are no accounts
- Any cross-site tracking profile of your browsing behaviour
- Analytics on how you use individual tools
Information that is processed
1. Local storage on your device
ToolJutsu uses your browser's localStorage to remember
a few preferences so the site behaves the way you expect — your
light or dark theme choice, and per-tool settings (for example, the
options you last used in a tool). This data stays in your browser
on your device, is never sent anywhere, and you can clear it at any
time through your browser settings.
2. Standard server logs
ToolJutsu is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any website host, Cloudflare processes basic technical request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. This data is not used to identify or profile you. See Cloudflare's privacy documentation for details.
3. Contact form delivery
Messages you send through the contact form are delivered by Web3Forms, a third-party form-handling service. When you submit the form, Web3Forms processes the information you provided — your name, email address, and message content — together with the IP address Cloudflare's network exposes to it, in order to relay the message to my inbox. Web3Forms is used only for contact-form delivery; if you do not send a message, none of your data reaches them. Their handling of this data is governed by their privacy policy, available at web3forms.com/privacy.
No cookies, no tracking
ToolJutsu does not currently use any cookies and does not run any analytics or advertising scripts. The site does not track you across pages on this site or across other sites. If this changes in future (for example, if an advertising network is added to fund the site), this policy will be updated and a cookie consent banner will be added at that time.
Your rights
Because ToolJutsu does not collect personal information or build user profiles, there is very little personal data to hold. Depending on where you live, data protection laws such as the EU/UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act give you rights including the right to access, correct or delete personal data, and the right to object to or restrict its processing. Personal data is not sold — and there is none to sell. To exercise any right, email [email protected].
Children
ToolJutsu is a general-audience utility site and is not directed at children. Personal information is not knowingly collected from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the site evolves or as the law changes. When that happens, the "Last updated" date at the top will be revised. Material changes will be made clear on the site.

For any privacy question or request, email [email protected] or use the contact form.
